On March 24, 2021, the Signing Ceremony between the College of Information & Communication Technology, Can Tho University and Japan – Vietnam XR Association officially formalized the joining of JVXRA’s main strategic partner.
With the blooming development of XR technology in a plethora of fields, multiple industries beyond regions and nationalities, Japan – Vietnam XR Association came into being to act as the bridge promoting XR research, enhancing XR projects as well as cultivating interest in XR trends and technologies.
JVXRA was founded by seasoned managers with a wealth of cultural and technological experience working in Vietnam and Japan: COO at GIANTY Inc & CTO at GNT VN Co., Ltd. Japan – Vietnam XR Association aims to create a high technological eco-system which can connect not only professionals but also organizations working in the tech sphere, open up ample opportunities for collaboration and development around the globe.

The signing ceremony was held with the presence of Mr. Nguyen Anh Bang – JVXRA Co-founder, Mr. Tran Huynh Long – GNT VN’s Offshore Manager, Ms. Do Thi Thuy Kha – GNT VN’s Operation Deputy Manager, JVXRA Partnership executives, Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoa (Ph.D.) – Dean of CICT, Mr. Ngo Ba Hung (Ph.D.), Mr. Pham Nguyen Khang (Ph.D.), Mr. Huynh Xuan Hiep (Ph.D.) – Associate Deans, Mr. Tran Minh Tan – Director of Electronics & Informatics Center and other university lecturers.
The representatives of the two parties agreed to establish the connection with the contents as below:
1. Signing and agreeing that CICT, Can Tho University officially becomes a Legal University Member – Strategic Partner of JVXRA starting from March 24, 2021.
2. Discussion on technological development and strategies as well as promotion on research and innovation.
The official agreement to join JVXRA is a solid foundation to realize original XR ideas, tighten relationships among enterprises and universities/schools, nurture potential projects in cutting-edge AR, VR or MR technologies and more importantly, create endless opportunities for like-minded, visionary people.
